Feature:
The Old Store

July 1, 2005
The former Dulaneys Store in Alum
Ridge, has recently been transformed into an exciting
musical venue, now known as The Old Store.

The Wade family (of Wade's Supermarkets)
built the store in 1930, which according to local residents,
sold everything from groceries to horseshoe nails. It
was later sold to the Dulaney family in the 60's, and
finally Tim Redford purchased the store from the remaining
Dulaney Family last November.

The All Together Now Band
The Old Store now regularly features a variety
of homegrown bluegrass and country music, and even a Beatles
cover band. You can bring the whole family for a night
of food, fun, and music. Hotdogs, burritos, ice cream,
and more is available.
The Old store is a smoke and alcohol free
environment. Admission is generally $4 to $5 for Saturday
night shows. The Old Store is located on Alum Ridge Road
(Route 750) between Route 8 and Route 221. You can find
the latest schedule here on our events
calendar, in the Floyd Press, or visit www.theoldstore.net.
