I am looking for any information about my grandpa's mom's side of the family as well as my grandma's side of the family. Both families lived in Carroll and Floyd Counties.

They are the Dalton's, Mitchell's, Montgomery's, Reese's, and the Phillips.

I know that my grandpa Dalton's mama's name was Colonial Reese Dalton. Her husband was Henry Dalton.

On my grandma Dalton's side I know that her daddy was Thomas Wyatt Mitchell, her mama was Maudie Montgomery Mitchell. She died when my grandma was only about 3 months old. My great grandpa re-married.

I do remember my grandma saying that her grandpa Montgomery served on the jury of the famous Allan Murder trial in Carroll Co., VA. I think she said that his name was John Montgomery and that his wife was Sarah Phillips Montgomery.
